I'm back from my vacation to KK! We went on a river cruise to see monkeys and fireflies, but my favorite was snorkeling at the beaches. The water was so clear and the fishes were surprisingly large and colorful. I just wish I had an underwater camera to capture the memories. Paradise!*
*Disclaimer: If the beaches were paradise, all the public toilets were a nightmare. But it's such a small price to pay for a really affordable and amazing getaway spot like Kota Kinabalu.
The fishes weren't all like these school of small fishes. But this shot can give you an idea of how clear the water is.

@aiz kim lol yeah thanks! yeah you should visit :) it's always nice to visit other countries!
@tabitha I stayed in Novotel Hotel. It's not bad, but it's farther away from the central city, so it's harder to get around by taxi, but not bad if you have already booked tours.
I would maybe recommend staying in one of those higher-end hotel resorts, if you can afford it. haha It's so nice and relaxing. :) but if you want to explore on your own, a cheap hotel near the city center and the Jesselton wharf sounds good!

are the toilets the type that you have to squat and are always stinky??
if they are, super hate those! when we went to guangzhou, almost all the toilets were like that. Kadiri!
Even in malls..thank god some places had the regular toilet-type ones but usually u can only find them in the last few cubicles :)

@kats hahaha yeah they had those toilets that are like holes on the floor and you have to squat. but even if they had those regular ones, they're dirty too and the floors are always all wet, sometimes flooding.
really nice swimsuit! where'd you get it? and your bod's perfect. I don't think you're scrawny at all.
